Experience
Rocket Project at UCLA
Propulsion Feed-System Engineer
Designed and manufactured a 3D printed rocket and a mid-powered g-class rocket through the Rocket Project RISE Program. Utilized an iterative engineering design process to streamline the creation of both rockets within a 8-week time period. .
Aided in the development and implementation of a feed system for a hybrid-motor rocket.
Bruin Underwater Robotics (BUR)
Collaborated with sub-team members to develop a pneumatic system for the arm of the ROV. Researched sealing methods with O-ring seals to create watertight housing for solenoids and pneumatic components. Performed calculations to determine the necessary dimensions and specifications for a working profile-float.
Combat Robotics
Designed a combat robot in the beetle weight class (3 lbs) for competition in the SoCal Smackdown at UCLA. Utilized Solidworks CAD software to design the robot and perform stress-analyses.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
Team President and Mechanical Member
Designed and manufactured 120-lb robots for competition as a member of the mechanical sub-team of FRC Team 2643; Dark Matter. Learned and taught machine shop and Solidworks CAD skills. Competed annually in an international competition. Won the Monterey Bay Regional and the Capital City Classic Competition in 2019.
Spearheaded the business and outreach, and non-technical award sub-teams. Organized fundraising and outreach events that emphasized introducing STEM to local intermediate and elementary schools. Managed the team logistics and facilitated the creation of a timeline and goals for the creation of the team's robot.
Intuit Summer Internship
Back-End Developer
Worked with a team to develop an application to help students to better allocate time for homework and assignments. Collaborated in the design and implementation of a database using PostgreSQL. Designed a scheduling algorithm in Java to sort student tasks and activities based on individual preferences and pre-scheduled events.
Math and Physics Tutoring
Provided one-on-one support in math and physics for students K-12 through online platforms. Prepped lessons and worksheets before meetings for students. Communicated with students and parents to determine the students’ needs and areas for growth. Scheduled weekly lessons to help prepare students for their classes.
